Our SEND classes are for children who require more support in order to be able to take part in a gymnastics class. We encourage parent involvement and these sessions are designed for children to socialise with others, explore fundamental movement and have fun. Gymnasts also have the opportunity to progress through our gymnastics award system.

These classes are fully structured and lead by a British Gymnastics qualified disability coach, in accordance with our TEAM CRAVEN values. The sessions are 50 minutes long and are aimed at children from age 4 to 16.
SEND classes are tailored to your gymnasts individual needs, both physical and social, are a quieter class with less distractions and have a higher coach to gymnast ratio. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited to ensure class quality.

Please NOTE:
British Gymnastics have changed their guidance on gymnasts with Down Syndrome. All children now need to complete Atlanto-Axial Instability Form before they are able to take part in gymnastics activity.
We will be requiring screening of all participants with Down Syndrome in structured sessions within the club. Screening can be carried out by a GP or chartered physiotherapist.
Classes are 50 minutes long and cost £7.50 per child per class paid monthly.
We also offer two week trial sessions which can be booked via the links below. If you wish to continue after your trial we will require full sign up within one week to maintain your place.

Please note, as a British Gymnastics registered Club, members of Craven Gymnastics Club are also required to be members of British Gymnastics for insurance purposes, this is a one off annual fee. Please visit the British Gymnastics website for more information regarding membership.

Important to note:
By accepting a place at the Club you recognise that we are now part of the Sandylands Sports village, allowing us to have our own purpose built gymnastics facility with attached public café and viewing gallery. Photography and videoing from the gallery windows is strictly forbidden. Blinds will be installed in the near future and will be closed should these safeguarding rules not be respected.
